Title: F/A-18 Button/Switch Question???
Post by: JamesChams on September 24, 2009, 11:45:43 pm
Virtuali,

Can you help me with this simple issue?  I'm attempting to program my "NEW Toy" (the Logitech G940 Flight System) and am trying to use the FSX Keyboard events for the APU.  But, it doesn't seem to work because there are NO Keyboard Events for the APU in the default key assignment page(s) and all I can see on the FSX screen for the F/A-18 is a Mouse click event. So, my question is.... (See pic attached below).

Ciao! :)

My question is how did you get the software to recognize the G940

Mr. Razgriz,
What software?  Do you mean for the profiles to recognize FSX?

I installed the latest (5.0.9) from the website and it will not recognize the G940.  It works fine, but I want the software so I can program special things.

When I'm installing, it tries to find the device plugged in but fails.

Mr. Razgriz,

1. Remove the USB cables and UNINSTALL the Software.
2. REBOOT and reinstall the Software.
3. When it prompt's you to install the USB cables; you'll have to check and see if the port you are installing it into is USB 2.0, 1.1, or 1.0; I believe that is "likes" ONLY version 2.0 USB but, it will live with v1.1.
4.  MAKE SURE THAT you recycle the power from the G940 device as well.

Good Luck!

Virtuali,

Can you, please, review the question in the first post (http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=2207.msg18232#msg18232) of this thread regarding your F/A-18 VC switch/gauges?

Grazie! :)

I can't find the switch for "fuel cutoff" that works.  I think it is just aft of the Th, but it is non functional as best I can tell. I guess the Shf/Ctl/F4/F2 is all tha works the shutoff???

Mr. "Pop,"
Yes, I don't think they mapped any of those keyboard keys to those events.  Which is why I posted this topic... No answer yet; probably no solution either; Bummer! :P :-[
