Title: GSX2 not pointing to correct bgl file
Post by: bigtaff on July 27, 2019, 01:48:57 pm
Hi,

have just re-installed P3Dv4.5 + 3rd party sceneries and GSX2. When I am at some sceneries and use the Parking spot editor i've noticed that it is pointing to the wrong bgl file. For instance at WMKK, P3D loads me up at the correct gate using the correct bgl file, whilst the parking editor is pointing to a default P3D bgl file see pic

As you can see form the attached pic the WMKK scenery layer is above all the default scenery layers:

This also happens at some other airports. I have tried re-installing GSX2, restarting Couatl and rebuilding the airport cache but with no joy. Is it possible using the .ini files to point GSX2 to the correct bgl file?. I have looked in the manual but couldn't see anything.

regards, Bigtaff

P.s I noticed the bgl file i want to use is about 3,300kb, is that size causing the problem?

Yes, just locate the correct file and replace the directory of the default one with the directory of the correct one.

Of course it is. To speed up loading, GSX by default skips all .BGL larger than 2MB. This can be configured by setting the parameter airportCacheMaxBGLSizeBytes in the %APPDATA%\Couatl.ini file, as explained here:
