Title: FSX and FS2004 on different drives and operating systems
Post by: AA777-200ER on August 19, 2009, 02:23:25 am
I wish to purchase two of your airports this week and I'm wondering how or can I install on 2 different drives each with it's own operating system (FSX using Windows 7RC and FS9 on the XP drive) This is a dual boot system which will remain the same after the final Windows 7 (64bit) is released. Also, I plan to upgrade my processor from a Dual-Core E8500 to Quad Q9550 (reasonably priced at under $170 US and that is why I'm doing this update) while retaining the existing software on my current drives).

Will I encounter any problems...Darryl

Yes, it will work without a problem. Just not automatically. If you had FSX and FS9 under the same Windows installation, activating one version will automatically have the other one active as well.

Instead, under 2 separate Windows installations, you need to activate them separately on each OS, by using the "Register Serial" function of the Addon Manager to activate your Serial Number on each OS.
