Hello. I have not been able to get GSX to work properly since the update. Every time I start a flight, no matter where I try to load in, Couatl crashes with a similar error. Below is what I have tried to correct the errors before requesting assistance here.
Initial update performed via Live Update and errors began.
Uninstall/Reinstall of affected airport (Flightbeam KDEN)
Uninstall/Reinstall via full installer of GSX Level 2
Uninstall/Reinstall of SODE
I have tried various random airports and whenever a jetway is involved is when the error happens. Attached is a screen grab of the error along with several of the error logs. I would be grateful of any assistance so that I can get my sim running again. Thanks.
-
I should note that if I close Couatl when the error happens I can run the sim as usual minus any GSX or Jetways.

Same problem happens to me since the update... :( --> P3D V3.5

I'm getting the same issue except with a different airport.
-
Okay, at least I’m not alone in this one. Looking forward to a support reply to get this straightened out.

Your error logs all indicates something that normally is not possible: the simulator cannot find the objects and it's trying to load an object that we surely install with GSX.
Since it's not possible the objects would be missing after installing, the only possible issue I can think of, is the add-on.xml for the Addon Manager has been possibly corrupted or disabled or couldn't be updated by the installer.
Do you use an external app to manage add-on.xml files ?
Go here:
Documents\Prepar3d v4 Addons\Fsdreamteam Addon Manager\add-on.xml
ZIP this file ( don't post it, ZIP it please, because posting it will alter its content ) and Attach it to a post, so I can check if it's all ok with it.
Also, be sure that file hasn't been mistakenly set to read-only. Another user reported this issue in another thread.

In case other person replying has trouble, here is file.

Your add-on.xml files shows the same problem, and it's exactly as I thought: it hasn't been updated to add the path to the PBR objects, so the sim cannot see any of the new models.
Of course, this is not normal, since both the Live Updated and the Installer will surely modify this so, something else must have prevented the file to be modified as it should have been.
Try this:
- Remove the whole folder:
Documents\Prepar3d v4 Addons\Fsdreamteam Addon Manager
And reinstall GSX with the full installer.

This may or may not be related to my other issue with the Live Updater. Now the Live Updater is working and it's installing a bunch of stuff... I'll report back once it's done.

hello ,
here is mine , little different from the other ones but same problem

So it turns out the Registry Key issue also caused this issue. Now the PBR objects show up in the add-on.xml and everything works! Thanks Umberto!

Assuming GSX is installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager, you add-on.xml is exactly how it's supposed to be, on a P3D 4.4+ so, your problem is entirely different. Are you sure you are getting the SAME error about objects that are normally installed couldn't be found ?
-
yes I have same problem, see log file

yes I have same problem, see log file
No, you don't have the same problem. The problem the other user had was that "objects that are normally installed couldn't be found", your problem shows the program is trying to create an object that is not supposed to exists, so it's totally different.
I see you use a customization file made by Cartayana, I suggest waiting for him to release an updated version.
If you feel confident editing the file yourself, a Search & Replace to Search this string:
FSDT_SODE_JW_JBT_2_5_LOGO__TOTAL
and to Replace it with
TOTAL
should fix the problem.
-
I tried but it was not working
search&replace did not find FSDT_SODE_JW_JBT_2_5_LOGO__TOTAL in the .ini but FSDT_SODE_JW_JBT_2_5_LOGO_TOTAL. I replaced by TOTAL and getting now almost the same error but with 1 underscore less
Error: exception CREATE_OBJECT_FAILED in call AICreateSimulatedObject param #1 'FSDT_SODE_JW_JBT_2_5_LOGO_TOTAL'
{'Airport': 'EBBR', 'User Pos': (50.9033511605145, 4.483128068207402, 60.2327 m, 4.14969 m, 155.4490343084575)}
at airport without customization it is working fine. Great work
I saw also that I do not have any logo choice for the jetways.
Anyway thanks for the help so far

Are you using FSX perhaps ? If yes, this thread is about P3D 4.5 but, if you use FSX, this is a known problem and it's totally different to the one discussed here, it's FSX specific, and we are looking into it.
While waiting for a fix, the only solution is not to use any customization files. Backup your .INI somewhere, and remove them from their location under %APPDATA%

Hello,
I'am using P3DV4.5+HF
I have redone deinstallation GSX + addon manager and reinstalled with full installer. Same problem
I did further tests at standard airport and working fine but still no logo, all are mentionned as default
I tried to selected one + other type jetway : it maded the change and logo is white
did reset position and again same problem
Should I have the logo texture inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager\Simobjects\PBR\FSDT_SODE_jetway_logo? They are present in legacy folder but not in PBR
I made a test and copied the legacy logo texture in PBR. Now it is more or less working, jetways are present but with a white logo. Trying to modifying the logo (now name and picture appears in gsx customization list) but then the same problem reappeared.
if you need other tests let me know

Could be you set the "Disable RTT" option in the Addon Manager ? For PD34 it should not be set, unless you have SLI configuration.

Hello,
Since the PBR update from GSX 2 to P3D 4.5, I also encounter a couatl error similar to the one described by other users.
For the moment, and after reading this thread, I have not been able to solve this problem.
Here are the different things I have done:
1. Update via FSDT Live Update
2. Deleting add-on.xml in \Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FsDreamTeam Addon Manager.
3. Uninstalling / Reinstalling GSX 2.
4. Uninstalling / Reinstalling SODE.
5. Uninstalling / Reinstalling the P3D client
6. Deleting P3D.cfg
7. Deactivation of *.ini profiles specific to certain airports.
Attached is the log file Couatl.err
Can you please tell me if a patch will be available soon? Or tell me what else I can do to solve this problem?
I miss my GSX 2 so much ;)
Thanks a lot

Your problem doesn't have anything to do with the problem discussed here, which is a known bug affecting only FSX and those that disabled RTT in the Addon Manager, and affects ONLY the choice of jetway logos from airport customization .INI files.
Your problem, instead, is completely different and seems the program cannot just find its own objects, as if they weren't installed.
Could you please post your add-on.xml in \Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\FsDreamTeam Addon Manager. after installing with the full installer ?

Thank you for your answer, here is the attached file...
