Title: Flickering logos on GSE
Post by: M_Sauce on July 01, 2019, 09:48:12 am
Like it says on the title, just ran the latest GSXv2 update, now all my service vehicle logos are flickering at a rapid rate. Similar to the flickering gate number issue which was never resolved.

P3Dv4.4, running two 1080 cards in SLI, is this related?

Thanks

I get flicker with all Direct X logos on the jetways.

I just disanle them.

Nature of the beast..... they are effectively layered over the top as opposed to being bsked into the jetway texture.

As the camera moves, you get the shimmet type effect.

Yes, it's caused by SLI. We are not entirely sure how to fix it, try the solution suggested here:

Well I do not have SLi.... still get flickers. But so does a lot of scenery textures.

No big deal. P3D not the greatest game engine in the world.... not your fault.

I think it's a different ( a less visible ) kind of flickering.

- Some flickering in Avatar mode is normal, since the avatar camera is optimized for close distance

- Some 3rd party camera utilities change the min/mix distance for default cameras as well, worsening the flickering.

I think you see one of these two effect, but SLI is different and worse, more like a flashing.
