Umberto;
I can't get GSX/GSX2 or any other Addon Manager-enabled product to register...I keep getting Esellerate engine internal error 0xe0000003. This is on a fresh install of Win 10 Pro and P3Dv4.3, with GSX v 2.5.0.9 downloaded fresh from your server just before I started the install attempts. No compatibility mode in use. I also see that the installer is placing entries in the add-ons.cfg file in C:\ProgramData and also placing folders in C:\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-Ons...the .cfg file entries point to the same add-on.xml files that are automatically loaded by P3D as a result of being in the C:\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Add-Ons folder and results in double entries for the sceneries/packages when viewed in Lorby-SI's P3D Addon Organizer.
I've uninstalled, reinstalled, tried running couatl.exe elevated...no luck with anything. Right now I can't get any of my FSDT sceneries to work because of this.

Esellerate must have problems on some of their servers. I heard both Flightbeam and FSLabs, that use Esellerate too, are getting the same error.
If you try again, you should be prompted to do a Web activation, and that will work.
-
My error is Esellerate engine error 0x0000003 and i have tried ten times and not getting prompt for web registration.
Nevermind after resarting sim for dozen times it finally registered and now I'm good.
-
I get this exact same error.
Please help!
Rich.

Still not working and throwing the same error 5 hours later. The web activation is what I am trying to do...it asks me for my serial number, I enter it, and it comes back with that internal engine error 0xe0000003 (error number in original post was wrong).

Same here

fsl has said in their forum that their is a issue with the esellerate servers
-
We obviously already contacted Esellerate support, but they haven't replied to us yet, probably because of the weekend. The problem doesn't have anything to do with FSDT, of course, and it affects every other developer that use Esellerate, like FS Labs, FSDG, Flightbeam, etc.
On FS Labs forum, they suggest to use the Google DNS servers ( 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) instead of your default DNS in the network settings, while Esellerate figures out the problem.
-
I found that I had to change the DNS settings in both my flight sim PC and in my router (I used Google 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), then open an elevated command prompt on the PC and flush the DNS cache ("ipconfig /flushdns"), then reboot, and then it still can't contact the servers when attempting to activate via the P3D dropdown menu selection, but now rather than the "internal error 0xe0000003" it connects to an alternate web activation server.
I noticed that Esellerate had a problem a few years back where they didn't renew their DNS domain and their servers became unreachable...is that what's going on here? In the e-retail world, going offline for days at a time, weekend or not, is unacceptable.

That's possible. As I've said, they haven't replied to us but, that suggestion to use the Google DNS came directly from Esellerate, which suggested this solution to FS Labs.

Well, that DNS workaround succeeded in registering GSX and GSX 2, but now it's back to internal error 0xe0000003 when trying to get KLAX up.

That's why I also said the web activation can be used as an alternate method. You should be prompted to try it, after one or two unsuccessful attempts. Or, you can just disconnect the network, and try an offline activation, which is prompted whenever no internet connection is available.
The software, of course, has several backup methods...
-
The web activation option only came up a couple random times during hundreds of attempts, and there doesn't seem to be any apparent reason why it rarely appears one time and not the others. Multiple attempts...like 10 consecutive tries, still keep up coming up with the internal error.
If I disable the internet connection and try to activate, I do NOT get an opportunity to do a remote or offline activation, it just gives me a different error: 0xe00200000 general connection failure. Over...and over...and over again.
36 hours now I have been beating my head against the wall. Is there not some reliable way to force an alternative activation?

I have no idea how it works, it's something handled by the Esellerate engine .DLL. When I say the 0xe0000003 error on my system, the web activation was suggested on the next try. And it was the same for several products.

Have you tried all the already suggested solutions ?
- Change the DNS in your Internet settings to either 1.1.1.1 ( Cloudflare ) or 8.8.8.8 (Google)
- Typing "ipconfig /flushdns" in a command prompt, and reboot.
- Remove the network cable and reconnect it again.
-
Try running the FSDT Live Update now, I've made a small change to the Addon Manager .DLL, to detect this specific failure and offer a web activation.

I don't understand this ??? I can't filled this out with my activation key :-(

Have you copied the activation key from the web site, and pasted there ?
The web activation is quite self-explanatory but, you must not confused the activation key, which is provided by the *WEB* site, starting from the Install ID (usually auto-filled), with you SERIAL NUMBER, which is what you must type in the Addon Manager *before* the whole Web-based activation works.
-
OK,thanks... I've used the serial key :-(

Now Tuesday and still broken. How about you guys use a service that actually works. I am not messing with my internet settings to install software.
ANY NEWS????????

Have you posted the same comment on Flightbeam forum, on FS Labs forums, and on FSDG forums ? They are affected exactly the same.
And no, it doesn't mean you cannot activate or the activation "doesn't work", what is not working is only the default activation, but there's also the alternate web-based activation and that one has never stopped to work.

You are not "messing" anything.
Using the Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or the Google (8.8.8.8) DNS will surely result in a better internet connection, since those DNS are surely faster than your ISPs, are better for privacy, are updated more quickly, and usually result in less censored sites.
