Title: Multiple Jetways question
Post by: crauds on October 27, 2018, 06:00:30 pm
By trial and error I plod on!  The question is how to best configure a double jetway for the B744 so that they don't pass through each other when they deploy and/or don't superimpose each other when deployed.  I am including an image of a workable solution but this is not real world.  They should be connected at the pivot point and remain separate as they deploy.  Any suggestions on a better solution?

The best way to achieve this, is to configure jetways in a way that the first one will resolve only to the 1st door, (so it should be fairly short and usually with 2 tunnels), and the other one resolving to the 2nd door only.

I did that by moving the bridge entry points to different locations at the terminal and by trial and error watched them activate so that Jetway #1 attached to door #1 before I activated #2 and they remained separated.  The issue is a SODE issue because in real life the gates extend then swing toward the aircraft but SODE has them extend along the side of the aircraft.  Good idea to shorten jetway#1 to 2 tunnels and leave #2 with 3 so it remains outside of the movement of #1.  I watched a couple of youtube videos and noticed that 3rd party developers also have their entry points separated for multiple gates.  I am going to experiment with using the "upper deck" as a #3 after I configure the B744 to use that upper door for passengers.

Thanks again for a great program.
