Title: GSX L2 won't install due to earlier SODE version
Post by: bobreardon on October 25, 2018, 07:10:36 am
Hello. I'm installing GSX L2 only because I want to install LAX. When I run the GSX L2 installer it says there is an earlier version of SODE that I first have to uninstall from the Control Panel / Installed program list. But when I look there it is not listed. I have other airports that probably use SODE too and there are sode.exe on my hard drive. There is an 'Uninstall SODE' in my program list, but when I run it it says SODE isn't loaded. Please help. Can't I install LAX without GSX ? I'm not really interested in GSX. Thank you.

The problem is likely an issue with your previous install. To fix it:

- Find the installer for the old version. It likely came with a scenery installer.

- Install the OLD version, so it will fix the missing Control Panel entry

- Uninstall the OLD version, which should now appear in the Control Panel.-

- Install GSX, which will now install the latest version.
