Mine simply disappeared. I see it installed in my control panel. Uninstalled it and reinstalled it and still nothing... I don't know how to fix it.
-
That's likely the antivirus fault that, just because we updated Couatl.exe, is mistakenly assuming it might be a threat.
- Restart Windows
- Configure the Antivirus to exclude the whole Addon Manager from scanning.
- Run the Live Update again.
-
NO Luck, not running any anti virus, restarted Windows and ran live update again, same , NO add on Manager, No GSX , no Couatl....
-
I just had a Teamviewer session with an affected user and yes, I don't know why the Addon Manager didn't start on his system. He was using Windows 7, are you using Windows 7 too ? Maybe there's something in the new version that might have broken Windows 7 compatibility somehow (although it wasn't done intentionally).
I restored the previous version on Live Update so, if you run it again, it should download the previous version of the dll, which should work on every system. I'll try to understand what the problem is, but in the meantime, you should be good to go.

That version seemed to do the trick

Are you using Windows 7 too ? I think I found what was it: nothing wrong, really, just calling a Windows function which I now found to be supported starting from Windows 8.
-
Yes Windows 7 too. That will be it.

After Live update , seems to have fixed problem, I'm running Win 7 64 PRO
