OK,
I know I've been told that this is not a GSX issue, but since it can't be anything else, I will post again as it most certainly is a GSX issue. ANY time I use GSX to control the SODE jetways via either the Request Deboarding or Operate Jetways button, it works perfectly until I close the main door for departure. This is where it gets interesting. The SODE jetway pulls back automatically, resets and then reconnects to the aircraft. Every Time, without fail. In fact, this is the most consistent issue I have ever seen. I have changed the SODE settings three or four times, but I ALWAYS get the same thing. When I try to intervene with SODE, it says there are no items within how ever far it is. I know, 90 percent of the time, problems are not GSX, but I truly don't see how this could be anything else. It is driving me crazy and any assistance would be gratefully appreciated.

Please indicate the following:
- which airplane you used
- which scenery you used, and if it uses its own SODE jetways, or GSX-SODE jetways replaced by GSX

Hello Umberto,
That is easy. I have had this happen with all PMDG aircraft (737 series, 777 Series and 744), with the new Aerosoft Busses (18,19,20 and 21), and with the TFDI 717. This has happened before GSX2 with FSDT sceneries and Aerosoft sceneries. Since GSX 2 it also happens at all standard airports with SODE jetways. Honestly, as long as I'm using a SODE jetway, as soon as I close the door, the jetway will pull away, reset and re dock. This even happens if I un assign the primary boarding door. Like I said, very strange.

I checked it, and it doesn't happen here.
- Be sure you don't use the SODE autodock feature, because it's not compatible with GSX. It will require both a SODE update and a GSX update.
- Be sure you wait for GSX asking to close the passenger doors after boarding. Don't close the door before you are being asked to.
-
GSX will ask to close the door?? I sure wasn't aware of that. I'll give it a go right now.
Scott
-
Well Crap,
Made sure SODE doesn't recognize AI and it was set at False for auto docking as well. With the AS A321 at LSZH, pretty sure it was the FSDT LSZH, exactly the same thing happened again....

You don't say if you followed the *other* suggestion in my previous reply:
- Be sure you wait for GSX asking to close the passenger doors after boarding. Don't close the door before you are being asked to.

Hi Umberto,
I re installed SODE and GSX. Will run a test now. Do I need to check CRTL F12 to see if it is OK or will I hear an announcement. Or is that the Ding indicating boarding is complete? I'm a bit confused about being told it is OK to close the door
Scott
-
OK,
I've waited for the ding indicating boarding is complete. I shut the door, the jetway retracts, then re connects to the door. This happens with every aircraft at every airport.

I can only repeat and confirm this doesn't happen, with any aircraft and on any airport. The only possible reason, is that you have the SODE auto-dock feature enabled, which doesn't work with GSX.
And, always use the jetways from the GSX menu. Don't use the TAB-S key when using GSX.
-
SODE Autodock feature is DISABLED (FALSE) and I only connect from the GSX menu.
Scott
-
I'm sorry, but I cannot replicate it, and you are still the only one reporting it. Nobody else has ever posted this specific problem so far.
-
Same problem here with the Sode jetways and GSX with every a/c at every airport.

Ok, now you are two users. Are you sure the SODE autodock is disabled ?
-
Yes Sode automatic feature is disabled
-
Same Here, SODE automatic is disabled.
Scott
-
Unberto,
I can make a video if that would help.
Scott
-
There's no need to make a video, I believe you. The issue is, there are still only two users that posted this, and I cannot replicate it in any way.
Could be you have something else which is controlling GSX on its own ? Some airplanes do that (the FS Labs Airbus does it for sure), and other products does it too (MCE++).
-
Hi Umberto,
That is a good question. I am currently using mostly the Aerosoft Bus, but occasionally the PMDG 777/737 and 744. I'll try with the PMDG birds and the CaptSim 757. I'll get back to you.

I mostly use Project Airbus and Skyspirit aircrafts for my flights. Here are my settings from Sode:
SODE Platform Manager 1.6.3 (SimConnect OK)
Secondary Text-Menu Hotkey NONE
Enable Debug Mode False
Enable Sound Enginge True
Enable Jetway Sound True
Enable Aircraft State Triggered Auto Docking False
Enable AI Traffic Detection False
-
My SODE setup is the same.
Scott
-
Could you please list your entire sequence of operations, so I could try if I can replicate it ?
-
This might be something. When I closed the door on the AS A319, the jetway pulled back and remained set as it should be. But, as soon as I selected GSX Pushback, the jetway immediately re attached to door 1L.

the same happens to me everytime

arrive at gate
shut down the engines and put parking brake on
activate gsx
request deboarding
set pax number
confirm sode jetway to door
deboard
fuel the a/c
ask for catering
request boarding
set pax number
board the plane
when the info appears to close main doors, I close the main doors
the jetway automatically pulls back
ask for pushback
the jetway pulls forward
the pushback procedure continues
pushing back the a/c and the jetway stays at the position
-
confirm sode jetway to door
Please clarify what do you mean with this. Have you used the SODE menu to operate the jetway ?
-
No SODE Menu always shows no triggerable objects. I use the GSX menu.

I have the same issue, i think i reported this on another thread a few weeks ago.
I see this happen 100% at EGPF and EGAC (Glasgow and Belfast) with GSX2 gates
All latest versions of p3d 4.3/gsx2 and sode, windows 7 64 bit
@gate22 Glasgow, ask for catering, then boarding (which completed)
boarding completes, door closes and GSX2 jetway retracts
ask for pushback ...... ding I get pushback but the jetway starts to re-connect
ive been seeing this for the last few weeks. See image below the jetway is back out during push

If there is any other diag I can collect for you let me know.
Thanks Umberto, youve had a busy month, few spend as much time as you on their user forums.
-
Hi Umberto,
the trigger appears to be the request for pushback. All works as advertised with the jetway retracting after door close. As soon as I request pushback, the jetway re connects with 1L.

We found the problem, and we'll release a fix soon.
-
Thanks Umberto!!
Scott
-
Hello Umberto, has this been fixed? I'm seeing the same symptoms described previously.
-
Yes, we fixed it already in our internal version, but unfortunately we are in a situation were we must first complete and release the next upcoming major update, before we could resume releasing smaller hotfixes like this one again.
This because we changed so many things, includeding the Live Update app itself, that we must release it all at the same time. Then, the next usual constant flow of updates will resume normally.
I'm very sorry for this delay, but the new ( and free ) GSX update is so massive, than it took longer than expected, both because we decided to redo most models from scratch, rather than "just" updating their textures with PBR, but also because we added so many features, including new ones we haven't announced yet, but it will worth the wait.
