Well like the title says I'm wondering how I bring up the glidscope in the F-18,I just got the very very excellent AI nimitzCarrier package and would be wrapped if I could get the glidscope to come up to help me with my rather shabby landing attemps.
Any help would be much apprieciated.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think there is no glideslope for moving carriers, nor any moving ship or boat, so no ILS is possible.
Static scenery is another matter.

oh really,bugger :(
Well does anyone know how to bring it up for a stationary carrier as that would still be good fun.
-
Really? anybody? pls, surely someone here knows how to do this,I mean you guys built it so I figured this's be the place to ask ???

I'm puzzled by what you mean by 'the glideslope'. The mirror is the glideslope. Other threads describe how to fly the mirror using the optimum angle of attack.

He means the ILS Bars. You have to put in the ILS frequency into the radio, and then on the MFD (HSI) click the ILS button.

RazGriz, Thanks.

I must check but I don't think any FSX stationary carriers have ILS, correct me if wrong.

Ah yes sorry I meant the ILS bars :-[ cheers for the help with that one guys,I'll give it a go tonight and see if the stationary carriers have ILS,I'v got a feeling that they do as I'm sure I'v had the ILS bars up on one of the F-18 carrier training missions.
I'll let you know how I go.
Thanks again ~S~ :D

You were right the first time. An ILS is made up of a glideslope, a localizer, and can also include marker beacons, or a range definer such as DME. So you would need a localizer and glideslope indication on your HSI.
