Hello
Downloaded and installed GSX Level 2 yesterday (P3DV4), followed the tutorial video to the letter and got a fully customised and functioning Gate 20 at EGKK using Aerosoft A319 Pro.
However, today I go back to the same Gate 20 at EGKK, only to discover that I no longer have a gate of any description, just a 'stub' where the old one used to be:

When I attempt to operate the air bridge using the GSX menu, nothing happens. Going into the 'Customize airport positions..." menu option shows my custom gate to be there, but if I then press, 'Customize vehicle locations' I get the following:

With the error log containing:

I have updated the Stand-Alone Update Manager and have the latest version of GSX Level 2.
I know that SODE (1.6.3) is functioning correctly as I can toggle the SafeDock system. And I am aware that the GSX gates must not be operated via the SODE menu (which they can't anyway as they do not appear as an option).
Any help much appreciated as I for me, GSX Level 2 is unusable.
Regards

Please post your .INI file for EGKK in the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX folder.

Ok, I can get the gate to reappear if I first remove the 'existing' one by setting the 'Jetway(s)' option within the 'Customize airports positions' menu to 'No Jetway'. Then exiting, and re-entering 'Customize airports positions' and re-creating a new jetway by setting the 'Jetway(s)' option to 'Parking has 1 jetway'.
Gate now appears and operates correctly. However, if I then exit the sim and re-enter, the gate has disappeared and I'm left with just the 'stub' again...

I see you only customized a single gate ( 20 ), and you set it with 4 jetways. Are you sure this is correct ? Yes, we can support up to 4 jetways per gate. but I'not sure if such parking ever exist in real life.
In fact, checking on Google maps, it looks like Gate 20 at EGKK has a single jetway.

Having the same problems here at EGKK . Been trying to sort it for the last 2 days to no avail. Glad im not the only one having these problems.

I had a look at the ini file and I also noticed the 4 jetways, but I assure you that I have definitely not set 4 jetways ! As I stated above, I have repeated the exercise of creating a jetway and can confirm that only 1 has been set.
I fact, I did think about manually removing the other 3 jetway entries from the ini file and seeing what would happen...?

Are my issues then similar to what you're seeing at EGKK ?
-
Any more advice to fix this issue?
Thx

Hi
I hope this may help as I have the same problem. When returning to the GSX gate as reported before it has vanished. Turning to the customisation page setting appear fine (I have the number of jet ways set at one) If I then switch this to Two jetways, on apply two appear. If I then switch back to one Jetway, one appears which works. On the next reload the gates have vanished. (UK2000 Gatwick extreme gate 11)

Sorry, Umberto, but unless I 'bump' this problem I can see it it rapidly disappearing into the ether without a resolution...

We are releasing an update later today that will fix many editor issues.

No change, if anything the inconsistency is worse. I have tried every way I can think of to get this to work at gate 11 of UK2000 Gatwick. It works then the next time you enter the same position into prepare3d V4 the custom jet-way is no longer there. Sometimes setting up with default setting work sometimes not. I have tried by uninstalling and reinstalling all to no avail. I wonder if the update worked for others with this problem?

It seems all users reporting problems are all using UK2000. Are you sure these sceneries are even customizable in the first place ? A scenery that already has SODE jetways, for example, cannot be customized at all.
-
I have the same problem of my custom gates not appearing at the Orbx KSAN when I load a scenario (which I described here http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,18615.0.html).
As a workaround, I found that that the custom gates will appear when I select "Restart Couatl and rebuild airport cache" from the "Couatl setting" menu.
-
Have you installed the latest Live Update ?
-
I just installed the update and the jetways appeared correctly at startup. Cool. Thanks!

With respect, looking at the plethora of problems currently being reporting, suggesting that they're all related to UK2000 airports is totally incorrect.
In regard to SODE, UK2000 airports, although using SODE objects, currently do not support SODE jetways (ctrl-j to operate).
With respect to the latest update, it's made absolutely no difference. Here's a picture of the customised jetway before exiting the sim. However, shut the sim down, come back and once again, there's no jetway.

Looking at the exclude xml file created, there's definitely something not right going on. I only excluded gate 20, but the file also has an exclude entry for gate 32. I have repeated the process several times, and on each occasion, the same two gates are excluded and then compiled. And I can assure you that I did not have gate 32 selected before the exclude creation:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<!-- Created by GSX on 2018-09-12 -->
<FSData version="9.0" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="bglcomp.xsd">
<!-- Exclude Jetway Gate 20 -->
<ExclusionRectangle latitudeMinimum="51.1548160189" latitudeMaximum="51.1548339962" longitudeMinimum="-0.169097629062" longitudeMaximum="-0.169069042849" excludeAllObjects="TRUE"/>
<!-- Exclude Jetway Gate 32 -->
<ExclusionRectangle latitudeMinimum="51.1576317889" latitudeMaximum="51.1576497662" longitudeMinimum="-0.168673832007" longitudeMaximum="-0.168645244054" excludeAllObjects="TRUE"/>
</FSData>
I have also attempted to manually remove the gate 32 entry, then recompile without it. The compiled file then correctly displays one excluded jetway. But it makes no difference to the final outcome...

Same problem at EGKK...

Same problem at EGKK...
I don't know what do you mean with "same problem", replying to a very old thread, made a few days after GSX Level 2 was release so, surely any problem would have been fixed by now.
In fact, that's precisely the reason why we uploaded a tutorial video on how to quickly customize an airport, and chose precisely UK2000 EGKK, in order to ensure there are not particular problems with this airport:

Hi, it is not working, I did exacly the things from the tutorial when i restart i set the new jetways, it works then when i restart the sim, it comes back with this gate has 1 BGL jetway, I have exclud raduis of 5, i have compiled it but it doesn't work...
why the bgl jetways are always coming back ?
and i removed as well the jetways and jetway lib from scenery folder of egkk UK2000

This should work even if you didn't do an Exclude. So, the only possible explanation left is either you removed the wrong .BGLs, or you have another conflicting .BGL from another scenery that is adding jetways too.

Have you recently updated you UK2000 EGKK install?
The latest versions have been updated to use SODE jetways, if so that is why you can't exclude them.
