Hello,
I use a new Prepar V4 last version/ new win 10 sytem/ only flight simulation prepar V4 PC.
Trying to activate KLAX, the Installation of SimConnect failed.
Some days before, I tried to activate Vertical Reality TAck PAck I sitll got the same problem.
I got these messages:

confirming the installation option, I got this message

J.B. from VRS said, it seems not to be a specific addon-problem but no solution at this moment. In the prepar forum same...no solution is to be found.
I cannot register the serials or activate any of my fsdreamteam aiports.

Some users succeeded in fixing Simconnect issues this way:
- Restart Windows in SAFE mode
- Remove all Simconnect folders found under the Windows\WinSxS folder
- Restart Windows in normal mode
- Reinstall the SimconnectClient.MSI

You will probably have to enable viewing system and hidden files folder option:

I found it - in normal mode - but see the result if i searched for the word simconnect: only from today...? Do you think to delete these files in secure winmode will solve the problem?

That's what I said in my previous reply. I cannot *guaranteed* it will fix your problem, but it did for some users.

I'm sorry, but is should work in Safe mode. However, as I've said, I never tried do it personally: I only read other users saying this fixed their problems with faulty Simconnect installs.
Other things you can try are:
- If you have FSX installer, REPAIR its installation
- Reinstall Windows

Please don't make it sound as if this is an FSDT sceneries issue. With a corrupted/missing Simconnect, NO ADDON will work, except the simplest ones that don't require any software support modules. You had the same, identical, issue with the VRS add-ons so, clearly you want to have this fixed, otherwise you'll have endless problems with all sort of other add-ons too.

The issue is, it's not "just" our sceneries which are affected.
If you don't fix your Simconnect installation, ALL your 3rd party addons will have issues or, as I've said, those that use some kind of software module, something you already noticed with VRS, but there will be others too which won't work until you fix the Simconnect.

looking for solutions for hours and days in the internet I came to the end to renew my win10 and prepar V4. Now everything works. In reflecting the cause of my problem actual I suppose that using original win10 diskcleaner after the last great win10 update (I choosed old system folders too) causes the problem concerning simconnect. So to answer the question from my part is to handle carefully this win10 diskcleaner tool, especially the option concerning clean old system files - WinSxS Folder.
