Title: menu missing after upgrading to P3D 4.2 and latest version of GSX **SOLVED**
Post by: ozflyer on May 11, 2018, 01:24:13 pm
Hi

I updated from P3D v4.0 to 4.2 today.

GSX reminded me of an update and requested that I run the FSDT updates from outside the sim.

I ran couatl_updater from outside the sim and started P3D.

Now I have addon manager appear in the add-ons menu. But no GSX or Couatl menu option.

GSX is not running.

How can I start GSX ..

Thanks

Now I have addon manager appear in the add-ons menu. But no GSX or Couatl menu option.

The most likely cause is your antivirus having blocked the update:

- Configure the antivirus to exclude the whole Addon Manager folder from scanning.

- Run the FSDT Live Update again, from the Dekstop icon.

Thanks Umberto.... Sorted

It was not the antivirus, I just had to shutdown the computer and run p3d again, and GSX magically appeared 😀

That's not unusual and, it's likely related to the fact you had one of the VC++ 2015 libraries outdated, and sometimes they require a reboot to complete the installation.
