Title: Missing terminals, Runway Markings, etc. at KMEM, KCLT, KLAX and KSDF **SOLVED**
Post by: silentsage on December 13, 2017, 11:04:06 pm
My system has spontaneously developed a problem in which the terminals, runway markings, terrain, etc., have disappeared at four airports: KMEM, KCLT, KLAX, and KSDF.  I have no idea what caused this.  I don;t have the problem at other FSDreamteam airports (e.g., CYVR, KFLL, KJFK, or others).  The problem is limited to the areas where the FSDreamtam product provides the autogen and terrain - if I slew the aircraft off the airport, everything is fine.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled each of them, and confirmed in the Addon Manager that they are installed and active.  I don't get error messages of any kind.

Any suggestions on how to debug this will be appreciated.  Thanks.

Do you have the Couatl menu too, or just the Addon Manager ?

Just the Add-on manager, no Couatl menu.  Should there be one?  How can I determine if something is conflicting with Couatl?  Thanks.

the most likely cause for this is that the Couatl module hasn't started, most likely because your antivirus might have blocked it, mistakenly assuming it might be a threat (it obviously isn't, its just your antivirus catching a false positive)

Try to reinstall the sceneries with the antivirus disabled, and before starting the sim, add the whole Addon Manager folder to the antivirus exclusion list.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I found the problem.  I didn't have the demo version of GSX installed.  Once installed, everything worked fine.  I completely missed the need for it when I purchased the airports.

What was confusing was that the airports worked fine for a few weeks without the GSX demo installed.

I doubt I'm not the first to make that mistake.  You might want to add to the installers a prompt to download and install the GSX demo.

I'm really happy with the airports by the way.
