Title: Custom Config folder deleted after last update
Post by: CXA001 on November 04, 2017, 10:24:47 pm
Hi all,

I just ran the FSDT Live Update utility and after running it, the Airplanes folder in C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Virtuali\Airplanes that contains all my custom configs was deleted.

I had backed up this folder, so it was easy to restore, but thought I would mention it. You may want to backup that Airplanes folder before running the FSDT Live Update... just in case.

Hopefully you will not need it.  :)

The Live Updater doesn't remove any of your custom configuration files.

Of course, before replying I checked it just to be sure, and no, the Live Updater hasn't removed any of the files in the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\Airplane folder so, whatever has removed those files, it wasn't the updater and, if you happened to notice it only after you ran the updater, it was just a coincidence.

Perhaps, but we have had several pilots also report the same issue.

With regards,

I'm sorry, but this simply cannot happen, and as I've said, I just verified that it doesn't. Maybe it might be something related to an antivirus. We never cease to amaze how creative some antivirus can be in disrupting perfectly safe and working programs.
