Title: LSZH Zurich Safegates and FSLabs Concorde
Post by: Ray Proudfoot on July 11, 2017, 03:24:24 pm
Hi Umberto,

I notice the Safegate system at LSZH doesn't work for FS Labs Concorde. But in the LSZH manual it states "is able to detect the front gear position of the airplane by directly reading the aircraft.cfg file so in principle should be compatible with every 3rd party addon plane".

So why can't it work for Concorde? Is it because the aircraft isn't officially supported yet? I have asked you a few times about that and you said you were busy on a major update. Are you quieter now?  ;)

Well...no, we are even busier, for another major update, which will ALSO affects the parking, docking and jetways system overall so, hopefully, we'll be able to have more flexibility with unusual planes like the Concorde.

Thanks. I know Concorde doesn't sell in the same quantity as Boeings and Airbuses but there still a significant number of us who do fly it and it would be nice if we could use all the features of GSX. Otherwise I might have to apply for a partial refund.  ;D

Hi Umberto. I’m back again like a bad penny asking if you have any time to make FSL Concorde compatible with GSX. I’ve been very patient and hope you will find the time to do what is necessary to make it 100% compatible.

Have you tried the last GSX version ? Since KSDF has been released, GSX now takes into account the difference between the passenger door and the nosegear, instead of just the nosegear as in previous versions.

This SHOULD take care of the Concorde, which has the Nose Gear far behind the passengers door, which would have resulted in having the nose too far inside the gate in previous versions.

I haven’t updated for a couple of months so let me do that tomorrow and I’ll report back. This does sound more promising.  :)
