Title: Runway 6L Localizer does not line up with Center line
Post by: marknie on May 03, 2017, 06:44:33 am
When landing on RWY 6L heading VOR1 set to 071 the glideslope captures and descent is fine but I'm right of center.  What is causing this? Bad AFCAD?

I did the same flight again today.  Still same results. M6 heading was 071. My chart was from sky vector which had a newer heading.  The klax manual also has a chart 6L but the heading was 069.   No wonder I was off. Lesson learned, don't use new charts

That was it, and that's why we supply the scenery with charts. Over the years, magnetic variation might change, which explains the difference.

Yep, i have to be very cautous about this in the flight sim world. I have the GTN750 and its charts show the new course of 071 as well. In heavy payware scenery, i will be sure to always use their provided charts as any updated ones may not be compatible with the scenery. Any AFCAD updates in the future?
