Out of the blue, when starting FSX, I get requested to confirm or not the following programs...
Couatl Scripting Engine/ SODE / Addon Manager/ SimObj Animation Module/ FSUIPC4.
I realise I only have to confirm each one, but it IS a pain in the butt.
Can you explain why these pop up boxes have suddenly appeared please. I do have my UAC setting on the 2nd position from top. ???

I have now changed my UAC to "Never Notify", but it has made no difference.
The pop ups are a Security Warning asking me if I want to run this software.

This doesn't have anything to do with GSX or FSDT since, as you noted, it affects all 3rd party installed modules. What's likely happened, is that some other installer, or you, changed this settings in the DLL.XML file
<Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
The one in the first section, not inside the various <Launch.addon> sections. It defaults to False, you probably have it at True for some reason. This will make the sim ask confirmation for *all* modules at each start.

Sorry I thought it was as a result of downloading latest GSX installer, as this is when it started.
Could you advise where to find the DLL.XML file please.
-
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX

Thanks for that. All sections in the dll.xml file were all notated <False>
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
This has actually happened since I purchased REX WAHD and it wouldn't install. I was advised to unzip files using WinZip, which enabled me to install the program.
Seems like it is linked to this.

Then you are probably looking at the wrong XML file. FSX:SE has two locations you can find one, depending if FSX:SE is running stand-alone or alongside FSX. Check both folders under %APPDATA%.

I am only running FSX, and have attached screen shots of my xml and exe files, and wondered if you can see anything wrong from these thanks.
