Hi,
With my recent updating of GSX, I noticed "SODE 1.3.1" in my menu bar. What is that and what is it for?
-
It's for the new jetways used at KMEM and KIAH that are contolled through the GSX menu at those two airports. I thought you've been using KMEM and had probably already tried the new jetways.
-
SODE 1.3.1 is on my menu bar also. I don't have GSX or KMEM but I do have KIAH. Why do I have SODE on the menu bar?

The whole point of the latest KIAH update is that it now supports SODE jetways so, obviously, the KIAH installer will install SODE too.
If it didn't, users installing the latest KIAH and not having SODE already installed by another product, would rightly complain "why I don't have jetways anymore ?"
-
While I have many other FSDT add on airports, I don't have KIAH or KMEM. I guess that explains it about SODE.
-
Also, if you have SODE 1.3.1, it's NOT coming from FSDT! We install the latest 1.3.3 version.
-
I installed with the latest GSX installer today, but I notice the add-on menu bar still indicates SODE 1.3.1. Or does it update with 1.3.3 with KIAH or KMEM purchase?
-
Every FSDT installer always installed 1.3.3, we never distributed any other version. It's not possible you would still get the 1.3.1 if using one of our installers.
If you still have it, that's even more indication that something very wrong is happening in your system. Of course, the antivirus might has well block anything coming from our installers, so it might have blocked SODE too...
Try to download and install it manually.
-
I have my anti-virus disabled when downloading the updates and it gets through okay. When my anti-virus is turned on, I get a pop-up indicating it was blocked, but not when it is turned off. So I am puzzled by this. I downloaded several times with the Norton Anti-virus turned off. How do I install it manually? I am not familiar with this method.
I hope it is not a pirated FSDT website where I downloaded it from since SODE 1.3.3 is not installing and replacing SODE 1.3.1, but it is the website I have been using for years and made purchases from.

If you bought GSX from a retailer, none of them offer any downloads. They only give you links to our own site so, the installer it's always the same and none of our installers ever contained SODE 1.3.1.
This is SODE official site:

I made my purchases through the FSDT website. That is why I am confused why the SODE 1.3.3. was not downloaded.

SODE it's not downloaded, it's included in the FSDT installer, and it always been version 1.3.3 which means, if you got any other older version, it means you got it in a different way, maybe with some scenery that use it.
Fact it hasn't been updated when running the FSDT installer, is strange but, as I've said, you can simply download it and install it yourself from the SODE website, the link I posted in my previous message.

Umberto,
I am going to install the link for SODE 1.3.3. with the link you sent, but it states to remove the old one first. Where do I find SODE in my folders to uninstall? I am unable to locate it.
Never mind, I typed it in my program search file and found it. I uninstalled SODE and then Installed SODE 1.3.3 and is now in my FSX add on menu.
