We are checking this. Not ever being able to replicate it, of course, but we'll check it anyway...

Further to this, the error is always in line 593:

couatl v3.1 (build 3469)
panic log started on Sun Jun 12 10:13:43 2016

problem raised by addon <unknown>
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "couatl\common\sceneryAddOnMulti.py", line 593, in onEnter
RuntimeError: attempt to use an invalid SimObject instance
{}
Using aircraft data from aircraft.cfg file

EDIT ------

Uninstalling and reinstalling GSX and the Addon manager seemed to fix the problem for FSDT airports.
Reinstalling all the FlightBeam airports fixed that problem too  8)
It appears I was missing a few files - somehow?????

FYI...was not getting until I updated the stand alone manager to current version.

That was is said on the Couatl release notes: this update required the full GSX installation.

Update:

Ran the installers again for both GSX and Stand alone manager. No crashes thus far. Will monitor. This is with P3D 3.2.3.16769 and FSX Acceleration.

Having the same problem. GSX was completely updated (per the recommendations) about 2 weeks ago, when I ran the FULL INSTALLER. Today I got a prompt from gsx (I'm assuming) asking if I wanted to do a live update. I did, and here we are. Nothing else has been added or changed within my sim. Just did a flight this morning with no complications. I have FSX sp2 on windows7. So P3D BETA is not the problem.

Good. I'll flag this thread as solved, for the time being.

Maybe I wrote that in a confusing manner. My flight yesterday morning was before the live update to gsx. I'm still having problems and now it seems gsx is making its own vehicles disappear from around the airplane (depending on camera angle). This is quite strange. I did however get the couatl crashes to stop after downloading the newest version of the standalone manager. I'll report back when I know more.

Do the vehicles appear if you zoom in a bit ?

Note that, the sim will always do some automatic "culling" of objects, depending on camera angle, to save fps, if it has calculated the objects shouldn't be seen, this happens even with default objects, like the default jetways.

The only report I could find of a ntdll.dll crash, was this one:

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php/topic,11401.msg87861.html#msg87861

The user said it was fixed by changing the AffinityMask in the FSX.CFG. Usually ntdll.dll errors are related to out of memory, but they might also be related to multi-threading, hence they might be related to the AffinityMask setting.

i have no affinty mask in my cfg.

i have no affinty mask in my cfg.

Have you read the linked thread ?

Quote
To my surprise, after setting my Affinity mask to 14, all the errors I have been getting over the last couple of days have completely ceased.

Which means, if you don't have it, just add it with a value of 14. That's just A TEST, doesn't cost anything to try.

Running FSXA and too am getting CTD due to after latest update.  I have tried everything.  Uninstall/reinstall all of FSDT addons.  Still crash.  Uninstalled my entire fsxa.  Everything works fine until install any of the fsdt sceneries.

And yes I tried the dll.xml fix even though the manager is listed 1st when I went into the fie.    I did a full uninstall/reinstall of fsxa. including the reg. files.  FSXA works, but as soon as install any FSDT/FB sceneries the sim CTD at the Splash screen.

Sorry, but I can only repeat and confirm I cannot replicate ANY crash. Please be sure you download and install ONLY the latest version of EVERY FSDT product you have.

Be sure you turn off the antivirus when installing! It might block some downloads, and cause a big mess of old/new files mixed together which will surely crash the sim.

Well, when I did do a fresh install I DID REDOWNLOAD the products from the sites with AV off.  It seems kind of funny all these issues came with the new standalone manager/couatl update.  It can not be "on our end" when many people are having the issue after the latest standalone/couatl update.  Guess all of my fsdt/fb sceneries are worthless now.

Well if you consider the last 12hrs of uninstalling/clearing reg/redownloading/reinstall then Yea.  I have done it NOW!

YES!  I HAVE TRIED IT TWICE NOW!  TIME FOR FREEWARE...

What's with the attitude ? I'm trying to HELP YOU.

Obviously, the problem doesn't happen here (it never happened before and it doesn't happen now) so, we can of course proceed further because, as everybody knows, there's no better support out there.

We should arrange a Teamviewer session, so I can have a look at your system to see what's wrong with it. PM-me for details.

Sorry just extremely frustrated.  I went ahead and did another complete uninstall of fsx/fsdt/fb.  Since I am moving over to P3D.  However I installed P3D and KIAH.  Now I was able to get into the sim a few times but if I stayed on the start up screen CTD would occur with in a minute.  So I am wondering if there is a lingering file somewhere that is causing this.
Title: Re: couatl.exe crash **SOLVED**

And yes TeamViewer would work.  I am in the process of reinstalling p3d as we speak.
