Title: GSX/SODE buildings disappear only jetways remain
Post by: natoseigh on June 02, 2016, 03:08:04 pm
Hello sir sorry since haven't really complained about any of your products until now didn't know how to get a new page which isn't in a thread ,so here is my issue sir and first of all have to say wonderful job with kmem and all your other sceneries .
the issue am facing is this i can load up at KMEM and use the default control to get the gsx menu to be able to choose either deboarding or boarding and it works fine to even bring the jetways but if i load up at KLAX and use the same default controls, which is CTRL SHIFT F12 to either board or catering services or any other gsx services the airport building disappears, only the jetways and i have patiently tried all the airports of fsdreamteam from KLAX,KLAS,KFLL,CYVR,PHNL,PHTO and the rest and have the same problem but if i restart the sim and load up at flight beam KDEN or kphx or any other the gsx works fine, please can you help figure out why this is?
thank you for your time

First, be sure you have installed the latest version of everything. All installers have been updated yesterday

Uninstalling first shouldn't make any difference, but it won't hurt if you do it anyway.

Ok sir i will do that and keep u uptodate thanks once again for your response i know u have alot on your plate but quick question before i uninstall should i also do the same for KMEM and KIAH which already seems to work fine with the gsx or should leave just those two products alone ?

If you already updated KIAH to the latest version (the one released yesterday with SODE jetways) you can leave it installed and update just GSX and other sceneries.

Hi,
The same happened to me, only I uninstalled and reinstalled everything but to no avail: buildings disappear right after activating GSX.

Any help would be most welcome.

Thanks in advance.

I am experiencing the same issue. It also has happened on a FlightBeam airport (KDEN) and the following FSDT airports KJFK, KLAX & KIAH.

First, be sure you have installed the latest version of everything. All installers have been updated yesterday. If you are sure you updated everything, enable Logging from the GSX Setting page, try to reproduce the issue, check your %APPDATA%\Virtuali folder the the Couatl.LOG file, and post it here.

Don't copy its content in a message, but ZIP it and attach it to the post.

I have updated all my FSDT airports but KLAX & KJFK are still experiencing the issue. KIAH seems to be working now.

Good Morning.

The fix seems to have worked for KJFK but got an error message concerning Couatl at KLAX and had to restart Couatl Engine. Once I clicked yes to restart, GSX seemed to work fine. I attached a zip of this morning's log

The log seems to be from before you applied the fix. I assume it's working now.

I am still getting an error message at KLAX. Did I only have to replace the file from the other thread or do I need to also reinstall GSX. I have installed the latest version.

I am getting error messages at every airport I land at and attempt to use GSX. It then asks me to restart couatl and once I everything seems to be fine. Any help would be appreciated.

There's nothing wrong in your log, just that a sudden crash likely happened. Try to remove all your preference, by removing the following file:

%APPDATA%\Virtuali

Then REINSTALL GSX, using the Full installer. This will remove all your airports and airplane customizations so, you'll want to backup them to a safe place instead of just trashing them, so you might be able to restore them.
