Post by: CAPT ZERO on April 25, 2016, 03:19:52 pm
Hi Umberto ,

I'm getting a few error messages, with the installation of the latest updates.
I have no other applications open while I'm doing the installation.
My Avast antivirus has been turned off during download and installation.

Please find attached "Screen Shots", I'll give you the 4 shots that i have
Hope you can help.
Regards
Ian  :)

Yes, you have. As the message from the installer says, you have Couatl.exe still running from the previous FSX sessions, most likely because you launched the installer too quickly after having quit FSX, not allowing enough time for all the executables launched by FSX to quit, close all files and release all locks.

The installer TRIES to quit the program automatically, but it doesn't always succeed, which is why you get the subsequent errors.

Either try again after a Windows restart, or use Task Manager to Terminate the Couatl.exe program before starting the installer.

That was Quick :) All fixed mate, Believe it or not, i actually solved the problem before i read your reply here.
The problem was, my antivirus had not added the exclusion of the files, bglmanx, dll ,or couatl.exe, as i had asked it to.

Anyway, Problem solved.
Thanks again Umberto, much appreciated.

Cheers
