Hi
I have installed GSX for p3Dv3 and trusted all exe files with the Anti virus.
But I am unable to open the Control Menu when pressing Ctrl-F12 when in P3D V3.
Nothing appear when I press Ctrl-F12.
Is there anything I missed? I have install the latest version.
Thanks.
Regard

The usual question:
- Do you have BOTH the Addon Manager AND the Couatl and GSX menus under the FSX "Addons" menu ?

Yes all those are in the P3D V3 Menu, thats why it is strange that control menu not opening.

Does it open using the GSX menu, instead of the key ?

No, it wont open even if I click from GSX menu.

No, it wont open even if I click from GSX menu.
- Restart Windows
- Force a cache rebuild, by removing the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\Virtuali\Couatl
- Start the sim and WAIT for the cache to be regenerated.

There is no cache regeneration, and the folder Couatl is not being recreated when i check the folder Virtuali.

I uninstall the whole thing and reinstall it again, it is working now. Thanks.

That's because it's already registered.

If the Addon Manager says it's Active, then it's Active so, it's possible you are mistakenly running P3D or another addon that starts with or launches P3D itself, in "Compatibility mode", like XP mode under Windows 7 or similar.
Check you don't run P3D into a “Compatibility” mode, like XP or Vista or Windows 7, under Windows 8. Turn off any compatibility modes for the Prepar3D.EXE, which is how it's installed by default.

I have check p3d and it is not runnung any Compatibility mode. I am win7 not win8.

Then you might have another addon that starts with it that runs in Compatibility mode. Also, are you sure it's GSX that is listed as "Active" in the Addon Manager, and not other product ?
-
GSX is the only product I bought.

Then the problem can only be caused by running the sim, or another addon that starts with it, in Compatibility mode.
Try this:
Change the properties for the P3D\fsdreamteam\couatl\Couatl.exe file, to run as administrator. Is NOT required normally, but might fix your problem caused by the sim or another addon running in Compatibility mode.
-
aha thanks, check Couatl.exe and its running in compatibility mode, turned it off and its working now.

aha thanks, check Couatl.exe and its running in compatibility mode, turned it off and its working now.
You must have set it in Compatibility mode by mistake, because it's not how it's installed by our installer.
But yes, this confirms the first diagnosis about addons starting with the sim and running in Compatibility mode having the same effect of the sim itself running in Compatibility mode, so this was expected.
