Title: Windows 10
Post by: skimmer on July 25, 2015, 09:23:23 pm
Will there need to be any updates for FSDT products with the upcoming Windows 10?

While FSDT may or may not release an update, I have been running GSX & JFKv2 on Windows 10 for a few weeks now. I have had problems with Couatl 3 crashing, but with Couatl 2 everything is stable.

Does everything need to be reinstalled, or were you able to run the upgrade process to Windows 10 without installing everything?

Can't speak to that. Until July 29th Windows 10 is considered a preview, accordingly, I have been running it on a separate drive than my 8.1 installation, as a clean install.

I have not had to reinstall any sceneries and so far smooth sailing, but I only got to test it for about an hour so far.

I had no problems, flying into and/or out of JFK, ORD, and LAX! I am happy!

I had to reactivate my FSDT and FB airports once upgraded to Windows 10. It only took a couple extra minutes on the first load of P3d and it's been rock solid since. Pretty painless overall.

After every other user that posted here confirmed there are no issues with Windows 10, it seem a bit overkill to *repeat* my comment in this other thread, named "GSX and Windows 10"

And, a couple of days ago, we also updated all our products pages on the site, to add Windows 10 (and removed XP) to the list of the supported OS.
