Title: GSX failed to initialise sound device?
Post by: stuarth on March 13, 2015, 08:38:48 pm
For some reason today GSX failed to initialise my default sound device, so no sound was appearing through my headphones ( default).
FSX, MCE and RC4 were all working fine through the cans but no sound from GSX.
Please advise what might cause this and how to fix it?

Thanks
Stuart

I found sound cards to be very tempermental. Try doing a cold start. sometimes it works. I think GSX audio comes through FSX so go to sounds there and check the setup.

Joe,
Thanks or advice, but as I mentioned FSX was working fine as were other sound addons MCE and RC4. Also I don't use a sound card but USB headphones. It was these which only GSX failed to initialise the sound device.

I found it!!! Go to the Module in fsx at the left top. click on the Couatl powered products. click settings and then sound and pick the device you want to have the sound come out of. Hope it works
