Looks like some folks are having trouble after the update.

I have seen it happen a couple of times when Prepar3D gets updated (from v2.2 to 2.3 and from v2.3 to v2.4). When something updates, Couatl doesn't recognise the updated version as it is designed to look for the version number of the application (I think). This is why Couatl is having problems. The only solution is to wait for Virtuali to update the installers. After that, you can use the FSDT products.

Yeah I can confirm the addon installer doesnt work. Installed the old SDK's and still no dice.

Like I said earlier, Couatl and any installers based on it do not recognise the updated versions as the verson numbers are changed. I am refering to the FSX.exe, not the simconnect runtimes on the SDK (the only purpose it has is to connect legacy addons like Couatl (pre-Steam Edition)).

Couatl doesn't have anything to do with this, because it's not concerned about the specific build of the sim.
The installers are not the problem, as long the installer you have is one of those that recognize the Steam version: it will install even after this update, so there's no need to wait for updated installers, because the current ones will work just fine.
The only update needed is the Addon Manager .DLL (bglmanx.dll), and since this one is being downloaded automatically by every installer, you only need to LAUNCH any Steam-aware installer you might already have downloaded recently, like the Stand-Alone Addon Manager, or GSX, or any scenery, and you'll get the updated bglmanx.dll ( 2.9.0.28 ), which is online now, and supports the latest Steam Update, which is FSX build 62608.

Thanks for clarifying that. And thanks for the update. I can confirm that KIAH is working greatly (on DX10 without the fixer).

Thanks Umberto, so do I need to download any new installers or just use the ones from a couple of weeks ago and they will download what is needed?

Nevermind. Just reinstalled the add-on manager and the rest went smooth as silk. FSDT leading the way once again.
