Dear Umberto:
Just a question. I personally prefer to launch the minor live updates outside FSX. Is it normal that after applying those updates there is no one final notification window that indicates that the update installation was succesful?.

Since that notification is coming from FSX, if you run the Couatl_updater.exe when FSX is closed, it's just normal you won't see it.
There's no reason or advantages running a Minor Live Update outside FSX, because the only thing it does, is to update files related to Couatl ONLY, and then will restart Couatl, just like as if you selected the "Restart Couatl" it from its menu.
No FSX files are changed by a Minor update (that's why you can run without having to exit), so you are not any safer running it outside of it.
