Title: Couatl Engine Fatal Error **SOLVED**
Post by: B777ER on July 25, 2014, 09:33:35 am
First time I think I ever got an error with Couatl fatal error (did not cause FSX to crash, just the Couatl engine whereupon the menu for it disappeared as well). Here is the log showing what happened Umberto. Any ideas?

That's not the most current version, try to reinstall anything from FSDT, or download and install the Stand-Alone Addon Manager, and try again.

Will not be able to do this until Monday morning. Will advise here when done and results. As an aside, I started my flight at FSDT KLAX and the automatic update popped up for coualt in regards to the 777-300 config update. I first cancelled it, shut down fsx and removed the 777-300 I had in the GSX/aircraft folder as instructed. I then restarted fsx and did the update when it popped up. I did not activate GSX after that. Only upon landing some 14 hours later in Pacsim RPLL did I activated it and got the error.

As explained on the GSX manual, a Minor Live Update that doesn't require to restart FSX will update ONLY the GSX code itself, not Couatl or the Addon Manager. Which is why, I told you to download and install the Stand-Alone Addon Manager, in order to update Couatl.exe itself to the current version.
