Hi,
The latest update to Madeira v1.04 has resulted in the GSX vehicle being sunken into the ground. This was resolved by the GSX Team for 1.03. Not sure if this has been picked up by others. I've installed the full installer again but no change.
Regards,
Keith
Edit: There is a check box in the Madeira configurator for GSX but this would seem a temporary fix. Is this correct?
-
Could be they have changed the name of the AFCAD ? If yes, could you please tell me the new name ?

No idea what it does, our own fix should be enough, but it might stop working if they change the name of the AFCAD or, perhaps, if they have multiple AFCADs to choose from.
The fix in GSX assumes the AFCAD is named AF2_LPMA.BGL. If you are using a different one, the fix will not be enabled but, it should work again if you rename the AFCAD you use as such.

Thanks Umberto,
This is what is said in AS Forum, "Please run the new LPMAconfig tool in thr Maderia Mainfolder, there you find a checkbox for GSX compatible Apron, need until, they change there code to get the Airport to the fixed Altitude of 43.60, as they hsve done it for LaPalma and others before."
The new Afcad is LPMA_AFX_OP02.bgl.

We added the fix for LPMA almost a year ago, in the June 1st 2016 update:
http://update.fsdreamteam.com/
The new Afcad is LPMA_AFX_OP02.bgl.
What happens if you disable the checkbox for a GSX compatible apron, do the AFCAD revers to the original AF2_LPMA.BGL filename, or something else ? Does the checkbox changes the AFCAD at all ?
-
Hi,
No the AFX file does not change. The change seems in following files as follows: with the box to use GSX unchecked (so no GSX leaving vehicles are sunken) LPMA_CVX-ApronFull.off, LPMA_CVX-ApronUP.bgl
Check the box to use GSX, LPMA_CVX-ApronFull.bgl and LPMA_CVX-ApronUP.off.
Hope this helps,
Keith

No the AFX file does not change.
Ok, so the real issue is that our fix doesn't work anymore, since they must have changed the name of the AFCAD from AF2_LPMA.BGL to LPMA_AFX_OP02.BGL, that's probably why they thought we still had to update our code: our fix ceased to work since it was linked to the name of the AFCAD.
Try to rename the LPMA_AFX_OP02.BGL file to AF2_LPMA.BGL, it should work again. We'll update the fix to recognize the new name in the next update that will be published Tuesday.

Hi,
Changing the AFDCAD name does not work. The vehicles are floating above the a/c. See picture.

Hi
today, I have experianced as same your situation with LPMA 1.04 Aerosoft
LPMA always makes an issue... ???

They don't seem to be floating over ground. There's simply seem to be a problem with z-buffering in the scenery, which is likely due to having being made in an unusual way. Have you noticed, it's the only scenery you can see the airplane from below, if you adjust the viewpoint ?

Hi,
Do these help? Taken low and high.

Lowest.

Check which is the name of the AFCAD in use, with the customize parking option in GSX.
-
I simply renamed the AFCAD AF2_LPMA.BGL as you requested above. This is the result.
Keith
-
I asked to check which is the name of the AFCAD in use, with the customize parking option in GSX. Do it, please.
-
Sorry, you are not making yourself clear! The original AFCAD details I gave in my messages above. I do not know what AFCAD file you now wish to know, as nothing has changed from what I have written.

The original AFCAD details I gave in my messages above.
You told me how the AFCAD of the scenery is named. But this might not be the one used by GSX, for several reasons. Which is why, I asked to check the name of the AFCAD is use IN GSX, with the customize parking option. The window that will open lists the name of the AFCAD, as seen by GSX.
-
Got it! I've checked the AFCAD in use by GSX and can confirm it is AF2_LPMA from the AS Madeira scenery.

One question..this issue its solved? Mine is not solve and i don't understant what as been said here..can clarify how to solve this problem?
-
Please re-read the whole thread, it explains what the issue might be and how to check for it, in my last post.
-
Is there any thing else I can assist with here? The AFCAD I mention was originally AS LPMA_AFXOP.BGL which I renamed to AF2_LPMA following your request. It is this one that shows in the GSX airport section. Unless I use the fix in the AS Madeira configurator, the vehicles remain as in my pictures.
Best,
Keith

Then why you don't just use it ? Perhaps they updated the scenery, and our fix is not needed anymore.
-
Well I was merely trying to advise you and colleagues that GSX was not working unless you used the AS fix. You could then consider a fix as in previous problems with LPMA. Perhaps I should not bother in future.

Unable to solve the floating GSX objects even with the Aerosoft fix (LPMA_CVX-ApronUP.OFF). There is also moving white squares (red marks on the given picture) over water as soon as I call up GSX.
Please check the given picture.
Any thoughts/tips?

The previous post said it works if you use the Aerosoft FIX but, you will also have to rename the AFCAD name as it used to be ( AF2_LPMA.BGL )

It didn't work for me! Please check the pics regarding the files/tweaks for Madeira and the video showing the floating GSX objects and moving white squares along water and terrain.

Check the renamed AFCAD is the one used by GSX, as already explained previously in this thread.

Hi, here is another guy who had no succes while using the solutions written here in this thread.
I tried everything written here, twice. At the end with the same result. The GSX vehicles still above the aircraft.

For those having difficulties, let me explain how it works for me. Remember I have FSX so that may not help others.
Make sure Madeira is active in your scenery library. Apply the AS fix as administrator. In the GSX customise airport drop down, the file should be from AS Madeira 2016 and be LPMA_AFX_OP2.BGL. Do not change this file or rename it otherwise the fix will not work. Good luck!

Please be sure to have the current Live Update applied, because it should now work regardless how the AFCAD is called.
-
The problem was caused because:
- The name of the scenery AFCAD changed from the previous version, from AF2_LPMA.BGL to LPMA_AFX_OP02.BGL, so the previous GSX customization, which is loaded depending on the the name of the active AFCAD, wasn't loaded.
- The elevation in the AFCAD changed from 50.5 meters in the old version, to 43.60 in the new one. Of course, the real elevation is neither 43.60 nor 50.5 but it's sloped from 44 meters on one end to 58 meters to the other one, but the sim doesn't really support sloped runways, the scenery designers likely opted for a different "in the middle value".
This has been fixed in the latest FSDT Live Update.

Not for me. Vehicles still in the air! FSX

I can only repeat and confirm the current live update fixes the problem. Try to run it again, maybe you still haven't got the new file. And, you should NOT use the option to "fix" GSX in the scenery installer. The fix doesn't need it.

yep it works now. THX
