Hi Guys,
For the life of me I can't get any AI traffic at CYVR, I've cranked ai traffic up to 100% but still nothing???
I read a few things about looking for files that cause issues from other add-on programs, some have said turn off aircraft shadows...
Still nothing, any help or input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sam

What AI are you using?
-
Hi Dave,
Just the stock Ai from FSX, I do have BC Regional AI (http://stuff4fs.com/newpage.asp?JS=True&Folder=BCRegionalAI) which is an add-on AI from Don Grovestine.
Would this be causing an issue?
What percentage should my AI settings be set at?
Thanks,
Sam

Most likely cause its in "Flight Simulator X/Aircraft" and you don't have the "SimObjectPaths.6=Aircraft" in your FSX.cfg. Or another problem with installation.
-
I'd have to agree with F-OHPM . You need to ensure that the correct SimObjectPaths. is configured in your FSX/P3d.cfg. F-OHPM had a typo there, it's not in the aircraft.cfg, but the FSX or P3d config.
Or an easy way around that is to move the AI aircraft from where they are now into your SimObjects\Airplanes folder as that entry is already in your FSX/P3d.cfg

Thanks guys,
I'll check the FSX.cfg for that string...
Hope this is what the issue is, I have absolutely no planes at the gates or taxiing or landing/taking off.
I've go so many add-ons, Orbx ftx and other things, a guy never knows what will throw things out of whack.
So can FSDT work with just stock FSX AI? or do I need a pay ware add-on AI program?
Thanks again for the quick come back,
Sam

FSDT airports will work with any AI addon, be it freeware, default or one of the payware addons.

To add to that it can even run with no Ai traffic, but you should know about that. ;D

Ok Guys,
This is what I see in my FSX.cfg:
User Objects=Airplane, Helicopter
SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes
SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft
SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles
SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats
SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals
SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc
So there is no SimObjectPaths.6
So do I add this line and what do I add after the SimObjectPaths.6\ <-------- ?????? SimObjectPaths.6=Aircraft ???
Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam,
The SimObjectPaths.6 was more of a generic number to indicate the next line of where you might have your AI aircraft stored. After looking at the installer, the SimObjectPaths shouldn't be an issue.
When you installed the AI did you follow the installer and let is install to Addon Scenery\BC Regional AI? And if so did you add it to the scenery library?

Dave check PM

All my AI Planes are in the "Aircraft" folder with the rest of my aircraft.
I'll check to see where they were installed Dave...1 sec...
Maybe I need to unload the add-on airports with AI and the BC Regional AI and start fresh.
When I look at "view" and under traffic I can see planes in the air and at other airports, just nothing at YVR...
Weird!

Can you reinstall the program? (BC Regional AI)
-
I ran the BC regional AI and only saw Dash8's and CRJ's. There were no Westjets or Air Canada to be found.. Not to mention they are on the VERY OLD PAI Dash's and RJ's... I'd skip it and use WoAI and AIG for much newer plans and models.
Here's a recent Westjet package for starters.
