Title: KMEM Update
Post by: Hnla on October 12, 2016, 05:11:30 pm
Just a quick update- I have officially moved to P3D, and ditched FSX. For anyone who is having any issues with CTD in FSX, move to P3D. Umberto was correct, it is SO much better, and stable.

Once P3D goes to 64 bit, I can see FSDT moving to P3D only very soon, and I can see why.

I guess so.

Hopefully, DTG would have moved to 64 bit even their "true" flight sim (Flight School is already 64 bit), so we could probably stop supporting FSX, which is looking more and more like FS9 was 5-6 ago: a platform which is hindering our creativity...there *so* much we could do with the P3D-exclusive features, and if will eventually move to 64 bit, this would increase tenfold.

So why is it taking so long for L. Martin to put P3D into 64-bit? Just the technical difficulty? Licensing?

The Second Coming of Christ is go to seem fast when compared to P3D becoming a 64bit program. I believe Microsoft had 600 employees for FSX. How many do you think LM has on P3D to 64bit? It is going to take so loooooooooong. I would imagine LM's problem is manpower and the need to make a profit.
