Title: Boarding passengers

Whenever I park my EMB-120 out on a Ramp parking place,this constantly happens....
I call for the Boarding Bus....which arrives shortly. In the meantime I have opened the main door,and the stairway opens downward.
When the bus arrives,and the passengers walk to the steps....they start to climb...get up 2 steps...then disappear through the plane to the other side !!!
What am I doing wrong ???
