If I start fsx, request pushback, everything works. But after landing the 1st leg, and requesting pushback on my 2nd leg, the marshaller is not animated. On pushback he stands stationary with straight legs and floats following my aircraft on pushback. I have tried downloading the installer again and reinstalling. This happens at multiple airports.
-
In P3D I get the same on occasions. Not all the time though.
The marshaller is fine when viewed from an aircraft external view but floats without animation when viewed from the vc.
-
Try to "Restart Couatl" from the menu, before calling GSX on landing, and report if it fixes it.
-
This always happens to me regardless of airport used. (all default). Yes a restart of Couatl always works and animations run correctly. I just let it restart while going through checklists. All is then good to go.

Yes that fixes it. Can you make it so we do not have to restart it everytime?

If we could reproduce it...

It just happened again. On my 2nd leg. Flying the PMDG 777X. From EDDP, pushback worked fine. Then after arriving at EDDF and preparing for pushback, the marshaller is stuck
I downloaded the installer again and ran it just to be sure. Any suggestions?

Use the Restart Couatl for the time being. We found what the problem was with Steam, so we are very close to release a fix.

Im using the boxed version of FSX.

Im using the boxed version of FSX.
That's even better, so you can use the "Restart Couatl" function with no issues.

Yes I can. But if you are able to fix this so I do not have to, it would be great. No rush of course. Thank you for the support and the great products

That's why I said to use the Restart function "in the meantime"

Hello just wondering if this is possible to be fixed. I am using FSX, downloaded latest GSX installer and still on 2nd flight get a marshal that is stuck not animated.

What do you mean with "latest GSX installer" ? The latest regular version, or the latest Beta ? If you haven't, try the latest Beta.

from your main site. I had no idea about a beta available. Thank you I am going to install that after my flight.

I tried the beta, same problem. after landing and parking at the gate, requesting pushback the marshaller does not animate, he just floats around. I'm using fsx: acceleration

Use the "Restart Couatl" for the time being, until we'll understand what's causing it.

that doesn't fix it, I have to restart fsx totally. Thanks for looking into it. If I can be of any help troubleshooting let me know.

Everybody that posted in this thread before, including you, always confirmed that "Restart Couatl" always fixed the problem. Has this changed ?

I selected restart and it didn't work. But this was while I was still at the departure airport.

Which marshaller are you referring to ? The marshaller, or the pushback wingwalker ? I find odd that you would ever need to use a marshaller on departure...

I mean the wingwalker my bad for the incorrect term

I've had the same issue. It looks like he's ice skating alongside of the plane. I never correlated it to the 2nd leg of a flight before. I will try that now.
-
I had this problem and then it went away and was fixed, but is back again now. Downloaded GSX installer again a couple days ago. I'm using FSX: Acceleration.

We haven't done anything that might have any effect on this so, it's not possible that it would be "fixed" or, if it was, there was no problem to begin with, and you probably simply had the zoom setting too wide, so the sim automatically disabled all animations, which is an optimization feature we don't have any control over it.
I confirm that, either you have the zoom setting too wide or, it should be fixed by restarting Couatl before starting GSX. If it really happens only during the 2nd leg of the flight, restarting Couatl won't cause any issues.
