GSX didn't recognize new airport
« on: January 17, 2014, 11:44:51 am »
Hello....

In the real world, Medan International airport has now moved to KNO, some location 13NM to the east, while still using the same icao identifier WIMM.

Why GSX didn't recognize this airport? what should i modify?

*The old airport is still exist in the real world, using new icao identifier WIMK, so i change the default airport to this icao code, and installed an add on for the new WIMM/KNO

Any help will be appreciated

GSX should automatically recognise the new scenery installed. Of course, you must be sure you changed everything that refers to the previous ICAO for the default airport.

You can try forcing a complete cache rebuild, by removing the following folders:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX\SceneryIndexes
C:\ProgramData\Virtuali\Couatl

And restart FSX, you should see both FSX and GSX rebuilding their scenery caches, the new scenery should work at the end of the process, provided you did everything correctly in reassigning the default scenery for the old airport.
