KLAX doesn't have any high-res textures!
Yes, they are 4096x4096 in size, but they are not any higher res than JFK or other sceneries we made at 1024x1024 size. We use 4096x4096 for speed and efficiency, because a few 4096 textures are faster to draw than many 1024, even if the overall information is the same ( one 4096 = sixteen 1024s ).
So, JFK V2 will use 4096 textures for the ground, just like KLAX, for efficiency purposes. However, they WILL appear much sharper than previous JFK V1, because back then we used a native photoreal scenery as ground, and that method can suffer of blurriness depending how much power the PC used has and how the settings are, while the KDFW/KLAX/CYVR method we are also using for JFK V2, remains sharp regardless of the settings. Of course, it's controlled by the maximum textures size in FSX.CFG/Addon Manager, that has to stay at 4096, to see the textures at the resolution they were designed.

Did you guys decide to update the textures for the terminals as well?

Only to represent changes to the terminals, such as the new Terminal 4.

That's good to hear. I look forward to seeing all the other changes you guys implemented ;D
