Frame drop after landing 08R
« on: March 07, 2013, 11:39:51 am »
Hi,

Love this scenery in DX10 but i have some framedrop after landing 08R and during taxi facing west. The frames would drop to 10 from 25 and then they comes backup.

Looks like there is some spots on ground who could need some optimised code.

Thanks

There's nothing that needs to be optimized, the scenery is as optimized as possible. There are only a couple of reports of frame rate drops on certain viewing angles and, all of them turned out to be other sceneries in conflict.

Use the free FSX Airport Scanner program to look for AFCAD duplicates and remove them all.

Note that not all duplicates could be found by that program so, even if it doesn't find any, it's not 100% sure there aren't any.

I might not be a experience user with that software but after a scan i have 3 files in the CYVR scanning in Airport Scanner

The 3 files are:

CYVR_AP.BGL (E:\FSX\FSDREAMTEAM\CYVR\Scenery

ADE_FTX_PNW_CYVR_Vancouver_Intl.BGL (E:\FSX\ORBX\FTX_NA_PNW05_SCENERY\scenery

CYVR_AP_alt.BGL (E:\FSX\scenery\World\scenery

What exacly does these information meens and should i delete something ?

I have a whole lot of airports in the scanner and it could take me a while if i should do something with every airport

Thanks

ADE_FTX_PNW_CYVR_Vancouver_Intl.BGL (E:\FSX\ORBX\FTX_NA_PNW05_SCENERY\scenery

This one should be removed for sure. The other two are the one that gets installed with CYVR, and shouldn't be removed.
