Preselecting the Gate at Arrival Airport

i want to ask if it is possible to select a Arrival Gate shortly before landing at arrival Airport?

Lets say in about a range of 20 NM comes up a Manu with the Airports in Range.
Then we can select the Airport and after that the Gate.
After landing the Marshaller comes automatically and shows us the right way :-)

I ask because after landing the pilots are very bussy. Also i know most times the real pilots knows the Gate of arrival.

Is that possible?
If yes it will be a very nice function!

I think you are far busy while doing the approach (contacting ATC, flying the airplane in the approach...), rather then after landing. And it would be fairly complex, because a menu should list nearby airports, you'll have to select one, the airport AFCAD should be read, a list of parking being presented.

Cumbersome and without any real benefit, because it won't add anything to what GSX does right now, just a different way to do something you can do already so, it's best we'd spend our limited time and resources to add *new* features, not just new ways to do the same things.

So what about selecting the Gate prior to the departure??

I would be really nice to be able to do this before landing.

I really don't see the point of it, you might have to switch to an alternate airport, or your gate might be different just because you landed on a different runway because of a weather change.

But as I've said, the main issue is: it's best to spend our time have entirely new features, rather than adding a different way to do something you can already do.

other, more impotant, features ready.

Btw: What about Passengers, ASU, APU, Deicing ?
