I have purchased most of FSDT airports. Downloading them works in pretty short time ( 3-4MB per sec). But when I run the installer and it comes to "download additional files" (like couatle.exe) download speed  decreases dramatically (5-10 kb/sec). Why is this so?

Because the installer itself it's on a very fast host in the US (Mediafire), while the additional files are on our own server or dropbox (there are two mirrors, selected at random). However, 5/6 KB/sec is not normal. Since the two mirrors are selected at random, it's possible you'll see different speeds on each installation.
