Prepar3d Installers + Version 1.4 on 8/20

Hi virtuali,

i am still having trouble installing the FSDT sceneries into P3D. I have tried the trials for both JFK and ORD (the latest versions) but when I start the installers they give me the message about V1.2 etc... After I click ok, the scenery installs into my FSX installation instead. I thought all of the installers were updated for P3D 1.3?

I think you will also have to update the Addon Manager when P3D 1.4 is released on 8/20  ;D

Please, clearly indicate what "the message about V1.2 etc..." means, the exact text of the message.

They surely are but, since we are running on a mirror site, it's possible one or two of them are still not the very latest version which is on the main server. Please, say which installer is giving that message.

We surely will, as we did with 1.3

Hi Umberto,

the message was something like "This scenery works only with Prepar3D 1.2.3253"
i downloaded JFK, LAX and ORD FSX installers from each product page

i was playing with the registry tool i think you mentioned before that it may cause problems?
i am now proceeding with a fresh install of FSX and P3D. can you tell me if this process will work?
install FSX + FSDT sceneries into FSX
then install P3D
reinstall Addon Manager afterwards
will the sceneries installed in FSX work in P3D?

I have just upgraded to the new Prepar3D 1.4 version (1.4.4747 ACADEMIC)

Now I am trying to re-install all of your products that i own (which is all of them by the way - great stuff)
I get this message on install
"This product requires Prepar3D 1.2.3253 or 1.3.3708 to be installed"
obviously mine is newer
what should i do
