uninstall of P3D

Due to a problem that has developed in P3D Academic I am going to have to do a complete uninstall and then reinstall P3D Academic.

I have GSX installed in P3D as well as FSX. Are there any instructions I should follow for the P3D program to be sure I will continue to have GSX in both P3D and FSX

There's nothing strange or unusual: just reinstall GSX into P3D after you reinstalled P3D. If you uninstalled the FSX version from FSX, reinstall that one too into FSX.
