Two A-4s in the making

Looks like the Virtavia site is down, has been for a few days, anyone know if they closed the doors?

SpazSinbad:
The VIRTAVIA site is back up and I have complained about one aspect of the A-4 AoA Indexer. Had only a 'tech-support' e-mail address so the complaint may not get through to anyone. :-)

The AoA red chevron is misplaced at the top of the Indexer. The chevron pointing down should be green. The red chevron should be below the orange doughnut - indicating FAST and pull the nose up. The incorrect PDF manual page explaining the indexer immediately makes sense when the graphic is amended as shown in the graphic attached of my amendment only to the AoA indexer. Otherwise their original text is good. Having the chevrons reversed does my head in. :-)

The original single page about the AoA Indexer (which is not correct graphically) is attached now also.

SpazSinbad:
To answer 'subs17' question about the A-4 avionics. They look to be very detailed but so far I have not had an opportunity to try out those details. And here is a .gif graphic explaining about the standard USN AoA Indexer situation from a history of same in a recent APPROACH article: http://www.public.navy.mil/navsafecen/Documents/media/approach/AppJan-Feb11.pdf

Victory103:
Read about the AOA and FDE issues, have you had a chance to fly it yet? Think I'm going to wait on the RAZBAM for the load out manager and ability to drop weapons on the fly.

SpazSinbad:
Unfortunately - temporarily - I'm unable to use FSX for the next day or so, due uploading a 4.4GB PDF to my 'SpazSinbad' Microsoft SkyDrive page (dated 17 Nov 2012). The FireFox uploading is reliable but ADSL2 here upload is slow and the process slows down even this brand new computer (especially doing online work) to a crawl. Go figure. So (forgetting to mention) on this new computer I'm still in the process of installing stuff and have only got around to FSX Accel with the new VIRTAVIA A-4F/G etc and FSXNP's marvellous FCLP Mission 3-5 (which at some point will have eLSO but you will have to ask FSXNP about that and I have not seen eLSO in operation due previous old computer which did not have sound). Long story short the brief testing with the mind boggling reversed AoA Indexer Chevrons gave me the impression that the VIRTAVIA A-4F flew well (and if the AoA Indexer issue is fixed) it will be a good carrier lander, with otherwise apparently accurate (for FSX) carrier approach qualities. As mentioned that aspect of my initial testing was very brief.

Anyway there is a lot of 'How to Deck Land' and Skyhawk (especially the A4G) material on that SkyDrive page in various folders for free downloading once user signed up (which is free and easy). There is even a complete A-4E/F/G NATOPS scanned by my own hand at high quality PDF available so don't pay for the same thing from elsewhere. OK?  ;D ::)

My opinion about previous RAZBAM FS9 A-4s was that the visual models were good but the flying qualities were not. I will hope that those defects are fixed for the FSX versions.
