If I deactivate the product key before I format my system will I still have 6 activations or will it drop down to 5 once I have reinstalled? Thanks

The point to deactivate is to recover 1 activation so, if you deactivate before uninstalling, *after* reinstalling you will have 5 activations left because:

- When you purchase the product and activate it, you will use 1 of your 6 activations, so you will have 5 activations left.

- If you deactivate before reformatting/changing PC, you will recover 1 activation, so you will now have 6 activations.

- If you reinstall on a new system or after a reformat, you will use 1 activation, so you will have 5 activations left, just like after purchasing.
