hello,
my name is morten van der linden.
I have problems with GSX,
first i want to say i have tried all the options, they are discribed for these problems in this support forum,
What's happening:
first i installed all my fs dreamteam sceneries, included the stand alone addon manager, then i installed GSX, and every time when i start FSX, it causes a CTD over and over and over again!
all my options are runned out, i tried everything, i am very dissepointed with this issue :'(  :(
i hope someone help me with this issue please.
what can i do?

Your description of the problem is not very clear at all. What do you mean with a "CTD" ? A crash with an error message ? If yes, what the error message says ? A QUIT to desktop without any messages ? That's entirely different.

m vd linden:

the CTD that causes is  A QUIT to desktop without any messages
it happens everytime when i start FSX, after in stalling GSX

Ok, that could happen if there's a mismatch between old and new files of the Addon Manager or they have been corrupt. Normally, it's really difficult ending up in such situation, because the most current version of the Addon Manager files it's always downloaded online.

BUT, if something goes wrong (like the downloads doesn't end or it's corrupted) OR the antivirus has blocked the newest version, but not *all* files of it, you could end up with files from different releases, which would cause FSX to crash without messages.

If you are absolutely sure you don't have any antivirus, try this first:

- Uninstall GSX, reply YES to the question "Do you want to remove the Addon Manager ?" and YES to the question "Do you want to remove the Couatl engine ?"

- Reinstall GSX and see how it works.

m vd linden:
I tried the antivirus method, but it didn't work for me
