All Fsdt scenery CTD

(1/2) > >>

bzsolt:
Hello,

several weeks ago I bought a new computer so I reinstalled the whole system and fsx with many addons. I discovered that I got ctd all fsdt airports with msvcr80.dll. I tried to find the solution but i couldnt, so I reinstalled the Win7 x64 and fsx, and installed the fsdt sceneries at first. Everything worked fine so I was happy and I bought klax and installed the remaining addons. Today I tried to fly from Zurich but I got again msvcr80.dll error and I cant fly from fsdt airport again!

Is there any solution?

Many thanks,

Zsolt

You surely have a problem with another product installation that has corrupted your Visual C++ runtimes libraries, our sceneries are being affected by this (because our modules use them), but are not the cause of the problem.

You can ty this to restore them:

- Go in the Windows control panel, and Uninstall ALL the istances of the Visual Studio 2005 redistributable runtimes. You might have more than one version: remove them all.

- Then, after removing everything related to VS2005, reinstall again these 3 files:

AFTER installing all the runtimes, it could be useful running Windows Update and update everything, including the optional downloads.

Hello Umberto,

thank you the quick answer! I applied the Windows Update optional downloads afternoon, so I just reinstalled VS2005 instances but nothing changed. Do you have another idea?

virtuali:
There was a known bug of a specific version of the 2008 VC++ runtimes that corrupted the MSVCR80.DLL file that came with the 2005 version so, possibly you have got this problem, due to another product (even not Flight sim related) that installed those runtime.

Try to remove all the instances of the Visual C++ *2008* runtimes instead, if you have any.

Then reinstall all the 2005 ones, then download the current VC++ 2008 ones from Microsoft site, and then do Windows Update again to be sure nothing is left to update.

Ok, it didnt help. I uninstalled all the Visual C++ 200x instances and installed again (both 2005 and 2008), tried to get Windows Updates but I get msvcr80.dll error also. Any Idea? Or Can I use your sceneries with Visual C++ 2008?
