If FSX is supposed to also ask me to trust then this is not happening. I will try again and let you know. But like I said I did this about 5 time today.

If you haven't replied YES to BOTH questions "Do you want to remove the Addon Manager" ? and "Do you want to remove the Couatl engine ?" when uninstalling, the trust lines in the fsx.cfg will not be cleared so, if FSX somehow stored the module wasn't trusted, it will not ask it again.

PierreFSX:
Ok I just did the test and I still have no addon manager in the addon menu, but some I took a look at my FSX.cfg file and I notice that both modules are = to -1. (See Attach in the trust section) if yu look at the last two entries they have a value of -1, is this ok?

I did make sure to reply yes to both question when I uninstalled, and I did check in the FSX.CFG and there was no line in the trust section. They got added when I re installed

Then you should probably check again the Simconnect window, because there must have been an error line there, probably a missing .dll.

I guess the most likely explanation is that when you installed the other addons, they must have been created a problem with the Visual C++ runtimes, try this:

- Go in the Windows control panel, and Uninstall ALL the istances of the Visual Studio 2005 redistributable runtimes. You might have more than one version, remove them all.

- Then, after removing everything related to VS2005, reinstall again these 3 files:

One after the other one, in this order. Use always the vcredist_x86.exe, even if your OS is 64 bit, we are dealing with 32 bit apps, so they need a 32 bit runtime.

Ok thanks for your patient on this,

I will do the uninstall and reinstalled of VS2005 tonight, I am at work today (need to pay the bills).  I also wonder if I remove the semi Colum at line  ; file=c:\simconnect%03u.log in the simconnet.ini, would this send the information to a log file? It would be easier to review.

[SimConnect]
level=verbose
console=1
RedirectStdOutToConsole=1
OutputDebugString=1
; file=c:\simconnect%03u.log
; file_next_index=0
; file_max_index=9

I will let you know as soon as I come home.

Again thanks

Yes, of course but, check you have writing permissions to write in that folder, otherwise the file will not be created ( you normally don't have permissions to write on C:\ so, best create a new folder )
