Hello, since the latest update 3.7.3 I got "DOOR MAIN DECK CARGO" message when loading the plane via GSX. But the plane shows me everything is ok with the doors. See att. pictures!!
Nothing that can possibly have any relationship with the GSX update. It would probably always happened before, since nothing has changed in the PMDG automation.
The issue is, the PMDG 777 and the Freighter version in particular, have issues with GSX door automation for several reason:
- PMDG apparently tried to do some GSX door automation by themselves, without ever contacting us, neither to ask for clarifications (if they had issues), but not even to ask to turn off GSX own automation, which I'm surely they are aware it exists.
- Suspecting that most of the issues with the 777 are caused by GSX own automation somewhat clashing with the PMDG one, since they never said anything about problems, we added some LVars they can use to disable GSX own automation.
- When I contacted PMDG (Mathijs), I asked to set an LVar GSX can check to see if their loaders are attached, so we could first send them away before calling GSX ones, preventing double loaders. They accepted by suggestion so, for the two lower cargo bays of the passengers version, at least GSX can check the loaders status.
Checking the loader status is important because when the PMDG loaders enter or exit the scene, they ALSO operate the cargo doors.
And THIS is the problem with the Freighter version: when it came out, I contacted PMDG again (Mathijs), asking if they could add a similar LVar they added to check the status of the lower cargo loaders for the main cargo, he replied he would pass the request along to appear in a future update, but last time I checked, this new LVar is still not there. Now, I'm not checking every update, but it didn't appear for months, I'll check again now, but if it's still not there, there's no way for GSX to know the Main Cargo loader status, so the GSX automation has no way to be in sync with the loaders, like it can for the other two cargo doors (because PMDG HAS added the LVar I requested).
A possible solution on your side might be creating a saved state for the airplane with no PMDG loaders active, and make it the default state, so at least GSX would always start from a known situation.
