I know what the say, the issue is, what they should have said, instead, is:
"We tried our hands at integrating GSX without alerting FSDT in advance like all the other developers normally do, found some issues, *possibly* related we discovered GSX has an internal automation as well that might interfere with it, never thought about contacting FSDT asking for clarification or coordination, and even if it seems that now FSDT has added the ability for developers to disable GSX automation which might have helped (because they tried to help even without being asked), we already decided to remove the automation, tell users to open doors manually, and say FSDT didn't help"
Because this is what REALLY happened. And what WILL happen, if they really remove any automation on their side, the GSX internal one will likely to start working better again.
The very title of the subject is very misleading: "remove any GSX compatibility" ? What ? Any airplane can be made compatible with GSX, and PMDG in particular were always supported very well.
It's just that some things would work more seamlessly if they were made by the airplane developer, like simulating progressive loading of fuel, passengers and cargo in coordination with GSX, which are all features possible in other recent products so, in the end, they only ones losing are their customers, who are getting an inferior experience compared to what they can get with Fenix, FSLabs, iFly, Leonardo, iniBuilds.
