Jetway Heights
« on: September 03, 2025, 04:02:31 pm »
Hi guys and fellow sim-fiddlers!
First of all, the level of immersion you brought to the Sim with your work is just amazing. I just love it and enjoy every second with your addon, big thank you!!

Now I have a problem that was already discussed a few times, but still I cant make it to work properly for EDDB(Aerosoft BER).
I learned from previous posts that I can adjust jetway_rootfloor_heights with a single line in the .ini file, which works for the "B" gates like a charm.
The Jetways of the "C" gates are a bit lower tho, but no matter how I adjust the line, passenger heads will always pop out of the Jetway.
When they arrive at the jet, their height is on the correct level. How do I adjust the jetway height for the "C" gates correctly?
My .ini-file looks like this:

[general]

[jetway_rootfloor_heights]
eddb_jetway = 5.60
eddb_jetway_gate_c_3 = 4.80

[gate b 15a]
...
[gate b 16]
...
[gate c 3]
...
[gate c 4]
...
...and so on...

I also tried "eddb_jetway_gate_c_", "eddb_jetway_gate_c" and also without the word "gate" in the line, but neither works.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?

no matter how I adjust the line, passenger heads will always pop out of the Jetway.

Don't focus on the heads, check the floor instead. Are they walking flush to the jetway floor for the whole length of the jetway ? If yes, it means the height is correct so, if heads are popping out, it might simply mean the jetway has been modeled wrong: it wouldn't be the first time a jetway ceiling happened to be about 1.5 mt high, which is clearly too short for an adult to pass under it.

Thanks for the hint.
I checked by hovering inside the jetway with the drone camera and the jetway looks somehow correct I think?
As you can see on my screenshots, when they reach the last waypoint, they start going up in the air a bit and lower down for the jetway length until they reach the plane on the correct height.
So I guess the error is on my side.
What would be the correct line to adjust?
