Automating jetway retraction and pushback sequence.
« on: July 03, 2025, 04:08:34 pm »
I have a full size 737 Max cockpit simulator with a three projector 220 degree screen running GSX with Prepared 5.  currently I have to initiate jetway retraction and pushback from the menu which only shows up on the control screen outside the cockpit.  What I would like to do is automate the process using SimConnect and a C# program.  I already have a sequence that closes all the doors when the anti-collision light is turned on.  Extending this process, I would like to be able to initiate jetway retraction, when the C# program senses that the APU is running and all the doors are closed.  Then, once the jetway is retracted, wait a minute or so and initiate the pushback process and inform GSX which way to face the nose.

Here's the question.  Are there GSX LVARS that I can monitor / set thru simconnect such that I can initiate jetway retraction, monitor its status, and then when the jetway is retracted, set another LVAR that would initiate pushback.   bonus would be an LVAR that lets me tell GSX how to push back (nose left, nose right, nose center).

Thanks,
Jeff

I suggest downloading the MSFS manual, which comes with a developers section. LVars are basically the same.
